Malta Dive Atlas is an independent, non-commercial project. Depths are typical maximums for the standard route on each site; conditions, visibility and access can change with weather and works. No liability is accepted for the use of this information.
Diveability scores
Scores out of 10 combine forecast wind, significant wave height, direction and period (Open-Meteo forecast and marine models) with each site's exposure profile and entry difficulty, for three windows: 06–10, 10–14, 14–18. A hard cap applies when swell hits the entry above a site-specific threshold, whatever the rest of the weather says. Marine models have coarse resolution near shore; treat scores as guidance, not gospel. Nothing here replaces looking at the water and your own judgement. Malta requires Advanced Open Water or equivalent to dive unguided.
